❌ What We Don't Allow
- Harassment or Bullying: Any form of intimidation, threats, or repeated unwanted contact.
- Hate Speech: Content that attacks or discriminates based on race, gender, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, or age.
- Academic Dishonesty: Cheating, plagiarism, or sharing answers to assessments or assignments.
- Inappropriate Content: Sexually explicit material, violence, self-harm content, or anything unsuitable for our educational environment.
- Spam or Scams: Unauthorized advertising, repetitive posts, or fraudulent schemes.
- Misinformation: Deliberately false or misleading information, especially related to education or career guidance.
- Privacy Violations: Sharing personal information of others without consent.
Reporting and Moderation
How to Report
If you encounter content or behavior that violates our guidelines:
- Use the report button (flag icon) on posts, comments, or profiles
- Provide specific details about the violation
- Our moderation team will review within 24-48 hours
- You'll receive updates on the action taken
Consequences
Violations may result in:
- Warning: Educational notice about the guidelines
- Content Removal: Deletion of violating posts or comments
- Temporary Suspension: Limited access for a specified period
- Permanent Ban: Complete removal from the platform for severe or repeated violations
Appeals Process
If you believe a moderation decision was made in error, you can appeal by contacting us at support@connectiotech.co.za within 14 days of the action. Include your username, the specific action being appealed, and your reasoning.
Special Considerations for Minors
Protection of Young Users: EduConnectio takes special care to protect users under 18. We have additional safety measures in place and encourage parental involvement in younger users' activities. Any inappropriate contact with minors will result in immediate account termination and may be reported to authorities.
